OUR STORY

For seven years we’ve been running a pretty awesome bar in the city called Union Electric Bar & Rooftop Gin Garden. It’s an award-winning little laneway cocktail bar & rooftop serving up the finest cocktails, craft beers, gin, rum, loud shirts & old school hip hop.

 It came time to grow & in 2019 we moved into & started developing a new site on Bell Street. Which meant multiple daily coffee runs for staff & tradies.

After struggling to find good coffee with friendly service in the area we put our of years of hospitality experience into action & opened our own little pop up.

Hence Bell Street Coffee Window was born.

Then in 2020 Melbourne went into lockdown but our little coffee window stayed open.

With nightlife dark, it kept our Union Electric bar staff connected & employed & became an oasis for Fitzroy locals to escape the confines of their homes for a brief moment of human interaction & caffeinated goodness.

We aren’t a specialty Melbourne coffee shop, just good tasty coffee, served by good people for a reasonable price.

With our focus on friendly & fun service we soon built up a loyal customer base & became an integral part of the local Fitzroy community.

It became clear that this little pop-up was here to stay.

In 2024 we moved down the street a few metres to make room for our new venue Lola Belle who shares the building with us… plus there’s even more to come on our little corner of Fitzroy. Stay tuned!

Open every day. We support our community, local suppliers, our friends in hospitality & frontline workers. And if you haven’t noticed… we LOVE dogs!

His passion for hospitality, good service & quality products is infectious. You’ll never hear anyone talk so enthusiastically about bread, cheese & meat.

Whether he’s dreaming up an award-winning cocktail or crafting the perfect chicken sanga, he puts his heart & soul into all aspects of the menu.

Kiwi creative Mikey brings colour & fun to Bell Street.

He’s our go-to everything guy… in charge of events & marketing, designing logos, websites & everything in between & most importantly… printing cute dog pics!

Our amazing team of baristas & cooks bring the charm & flavour to Bell Street.

Experts at questionable chat, spicy dancing & remembering every dog name & coffee order. They are all awesome people & we love them!
